Car breakin
My car was broken into between 8:00 and 9:30 PM PST on Monday 17-NOV-2008 while I had Pizza with friends. The thief smashed the front passenger side window and stole most of the contents of the glove compartment and center console, as well as prying out and stealing the entire cup holder and ash tray holder assembly. The only particularly expensive items that were stolen were a Kenwood TH-F6A handheld amateur radio transceiver, an HP-50g graphing calculator, a gift card for Olive Garden, an iPhone USB cable, and chargers for the HT, iPhone, Palm Treo, and Garmin GPS. The rest of what was stolen would have little or no value to anyone other than me, such as the owners manual for the car, some letters and bills, a notebook with the car maintenance records, some miscellaneous keys, and a five still-sealed transcripts from Mission College. I think the transcripts have my social security number, unfortunately.
Fortunately I took my backpack into the restaurant; it contained my laptop and other valuables.
Thanks to my friend Frank for taking these photos.
